3D model → cut-ready boards
Slice any mesh along X, Y or Z, by thickness and gap or by count. You get clean, closed splines within a verified tolerance, with a live preview while you adjust.
Slice any model into boards, add interlocking slots, nest the parts on full sheets or on your own offcuts, number them and export a clean DXF for every sheet. You leave 3ds Max only when it's time to make the toolpaths.
Free edition: every tool, up to 20 pieces per run · 3ds Max 2025 · Windows
MAQNEXA does all of it in one panel inside 3ds Max — in one click, or step by step when you want full control.
Four tools in one panel — Create, Interlock, Nesting and Export — that look and work like 3ds Max itself.
Slice any mesh along X, Y or Z, by thickness and gap or by count. You get clean, closed splines within a verified tolerance, with a live preview while you adjust.
Cut the model into X and Y boards that slot together with half-lap joints. Dog-bone or T-bone corners for router bits, and an option that keeps every board in one piece.
True-shape nesting on sheets of the size you set, with rotation, parts inside holes and search modes from Fast to Optimal. In our tests it packs very close to ArtCAM — and runs faster.
Draw any closed shape around a leftover board — even with cut-outs — and MAQNEXA fills it before it opens a new sheet. The leftovers of each job can become panels for the next one, so the wood already in your workshop gets used first.
Weld open ends, remove duplicate and micro points, simplify within tolerance and fix orientation — on MAQNEXA's parts and on your own shapes.
Every part gets its number engraved inside it, with control over text size and direction. Number everything at once, or a single part when you need to.
One picture with the nested sheets, the 3D model and the project figures — sheets, slices, thickness — in English, French or Arabic, ready to send before you cut.
Render the model from 14 angles at once, with your own colors for the model and the text.
Outer contours, holes, numbers and sheet borders go to separate layers, so you select each group in one click in ArtCAM or any CAM software.
DXF R12 in millimetres with closed polylines, true arcs and circles, each sheet at 0,0. Before export MAQNEXA checks overlaps, open contours and parts too close, then writes a report and a cut list.
One button runs the whole chain. Separate buttons run or redo any single step, so you stay in control.
The free edition is not a demo. Every tool works — Pro only removes the piece limit.

No. It never expires and includes every tool. The only limit is 20 pieces per run.
Yes. Commercial use is allowed in both editions.
The export is DXF R12 in millimetres with closed polylines and true arcs, which ArtCAM and most CAM programs import cleanly. A “lines + arcs” option is there for older importers.
No. It works offline. Pro is unlocked with a license file tied to your computer.
The license survives one hardware change, such as a new disk or a Windows reinstall. For a new computer, send us its Machine ID and we reissue your license.
Yes, within 14 days of purchase. Try the free edition first to make sure MAQNEXA fits your work.
A piece is one part made by a tool in one run — for example one board from slicing, or one part placed by nesting. Above 20, the free edition asks you to upgrade.
Run install.ms again: it removes the “downloaded from the internet” block that Windows puts on the files. If the MAQNEXA folder is in a read-only place such as Program Files, move it to Documents first. Still stuck? Write to support@maqnexa.com.
MAQNEXA comes from day-to-day CNC work. It removes the slow, error-prone steps between a 3ds Max model and the machine: building the parts, numbering them, and nesting them on new sheets and on the leftovers of the workshop. It is made in Morocco.
The free edition has every tool. Cut a small piece first and see the result on your machine.
